Greg Paoli is the CEO and Principal Risk Scientist of Risk Sciences International (RSI), a firm he co-founded in 2006 and which has become an internationally recognized leader in applied risk science. His work focuses on advancing risk-based decision-making in regulatory systems, helping organizations integrate quantitative risk analysis into policy, inspection strategies, and public health protection.
Greg has contributed extensively to both chemical and microbiological risk assessment, notably as co-developer of FDA-iRISK, a widely used quantitative risk modeling platform that supports risk assessments for microbiological, chemical, allergenic, and nutritional hazards. He has advised numerous governmental organizations on the development of risk-based regulatory frameworks and has published widely on probabilistic modeling and modern risk analysis approaches.
At the QMRA workshop, Greg will share his experience in quantitative risk modeling and integrated risk assessment approaches, illustrating how probabilistic tools can support evidence-informed food safety decision-making.
